Synopsis:
In 2008, the U.S. president (Danny Glover) convenes an emergency meeting with the major powers to discuss a great danger to humanity. Years pass, and with the proximity of 2012, the authorities decide they can no longer contain the imminent danger that could mean the end of the world. Thus, put into practice the plan started years ago, under the command of scientists Adrian Helmsley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Carl Anheuser (Oliver Platt). Meanwhile, Curtis Jackson writer (John Cusack) takes his life as a husband separated, the father of two children, as limo driver and having to endure the complaints of the former wife (Amanda Peet). By taking the children to walk, he discovers the first signs of the destruction of the planet.
